Classes 2024
Training your new pup or rescued dog is an ongoing process. As often as we all wish that one class is enough to make Fido that wonderful well trained and behaved pup, it is not. Every day you are teaching Fido something, you just aren't aware of it.
Chubby Puppy is offering courses structured to help you with Fido as a pup up to making them well adjusted in social situations. Bring Fido to learn new things and basic obedience commands so that he/she is a good citizen!
Our goals is to create a group of Therapy dogs to service the South Hills!
Pre-registration with Payment is required. Six weeks - $120.00.
A copy of vet records are required, send in advance or bring a copy with you.
* Puppies should be a minimum of 12 weeks or older with first round of shots
** All dogs must be up to date on shots and a recent fecal test.*
** Classes are limited to five students.

Private instruction - with you and your dog. Teaching the basics: Walk nicely (heel), sit, down, stay and come and to help problem solving competitive issues. Instruction is one hour on premises. For information call and schedule a consultation.
This class is for puppies that are under 12 months that have had no training. This class teaches you basic obedience such as heel, sit, down, stay and come, as well as working towards good manners and passing the STAR puppy. Lots of positivity and food based instruction.

Basic Class
Start out learning really easy skills walking nicely on a leash, sit, down, stay and come, as well as basic good manners in the first phase. As the two of you progress through the phases these skills become more challenging. This program works toward passing the CGC tests.

Intermediate Class- We will occasionally work at different locations.

The skills become much more challenging and expectations are higher. This program works toward passing the CGC tests and preparation for the Therapy Dog requirements. Basic Class is required to participate.

Advanced Class - This class will be held with the Intermediate Class. We will begin working at different locations.

Puppy Enrichment - This is a fun class for all ages! Working different obstacles (tunnel, weave poles, wobble board, teeter, and fitness equipment. All dogs must be on lead and have their nails trimmed.

Rally Novice & Beginner Novice Class
Drop In $10 per class.
Bring your furry pal to learn new things! Begin to prepare to compete for the Rally Novice & Beginner Novice title. This class will be held outside in the parking lot so that we can prepare a full course, so weather permitting, and signs can be learned in the lower level and a small course can be made.
Trick Dog Class I
Six week course, $120.00, registration with payment by .

Bring your furry pal to learn new things! Learn new tricks at an easy level to compete for the Trick Dog Novice title.
Pre-registration required with payment
Daycare and Train - The daycare - the owner dropping off the dog for daycare and picking up at the end of the day. Presently no overnight boarding is offered.
Pricing are based on a week of training (5 days).
Training includes: Walking nicely on lead, sit, down and stay.

Training area - Chubby Puppy's main training area is 560 square feet (20ft X 28ft) that is fully matted and in a climate controlled environment (heat & A/C).
Instructors - Chubby Puppy's instructors have over 25 years of experience training obedience & other classes as well as providing private instruction. Each are Certified to evaluate AKC STAR puppy, CGC - Canine Good Citizen including Community and Urban and Trick Dog and Therapy Dog and we offer opportunity for testing.

How to sign up for classes
Read the descriptions of the classes available.
1. Please fill out the Pre Registration form to the right and it will be emailed to Chubby Puppy. We will tentatively register you for the class.
2. Pay the registration fee. You have multiple choices. You can use the button below that says Buy Now and use a credit card and register quickly. You can mail or drop off a check at Chubby Puppy. We do accept Cash, checks, credit cards but there is a processing fee add to CC.
3. Fill out an application (top of page and below) and mail with check or bring before the first class. We have copies to fill our if you do not do this step.
4. Provide up to date vet records so that we can have a copy.
