Where Chubby Puppy Came from

 

Chubby Puppy is a labor of love to us! Jean and Marty Kroll. The concept and name goes back to 2005 when daycares were just starting. We were making arrangements with a friend to open Chubby Puppy Doggy Daycare facility but it never came into reality. Chubby Puppy was always back there just waiting until this wonderful opportunity!

Chubby Puppy Daycare facility is located in the community of Baldwin Borough, Pittsburgh.

• Providing: Doggy Daycare - Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5:30 pm;

• Training - Obedience, Rally, Trick Dog and Conformation and other various training services;

• Relaxing Canine Massage -half hour with an appointment;

• Product sales - Espana Silk All Natural Grooming products, White Pine Leads and Collars, chews & toys.

Owner's Background

Jean and Marty Kroll have owned, trained and shown Belgian Tervuren for 30+ years (1990), and Belgian sheepdogs and Pomeranian (2003) for going on 20 years and Schipperke for 4 years. We do handle for others, as well. Titles we have earned: Gold Grand Champion, Grand Champion, Champion (two countries and three kennel clubs), Companion Dog, Companion Dog Excellent (two countries), Beginning Novice, Rally Novice, Rally Advanced, Tracking Dog, Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog International. Also winning coveted placements over the years from Best In Show, Best In Specialty Show, Best of Opposite Sex at National and Regional Specialties, Award of Merit at Eukanuba & Specialties, Grand Champion Select at Westminster, Winners Dog & Bitch at Specialties. We have won the Group and Placed in the group with many dogs and various breeds.

and attended the 2018 Westminster shows in New York City! and won the Grand Champion Select.

Training Background   

Jean has 30+ years of training classes at GTOTC, the Humane Society of W. PA., WCOTC and at Parkview Kennels (Board and Trains) & Walkers Pet Hotail in Murrysville & North Versailles. (STAR Puppy, CGC), Basic obedience, Novice obedience, Conformation classes and private clients. Jean is presently an AKC CGC evaluator which allows her to evaluate STAR Puppy, Canine Good Citizen of all types and Trick Dog for certification. Jean and Marty have instructed Conformation Seminars to help new people learn about the sport of conformation.

Other Experience    

Jean has completed and certified multiple hands on courses for Canine Massage and has been a vendor at dog events providing canine massage to the exhibitors as well as providing this service to the Pittsburgh area since 2012.

Jean and Marty operated a Petsitting business, Purrfect Petsitters for 10 years (1991 to 2001). Providing service in and around Pittsburgh. Visiting many pets in their homes and caring for them.

More Information    

We exclusively use Espana Silk products on our dogs. We started using it for a dog with Alopecia & skin problems and fell in love with this wonderful product.    

Chubby Puppy carries a wide variety of White Pine leashes and collars, chews & Toys.
